How to Use Your deodorant
Note – If you have always used anti-perspirants in the past, give your body at least a month to transition to using just deodorant. Your body will perspire once you allow it and will detoxify your body. Once this transition takes place you will find the amount you perspire should decrease over time. If you find our deodorants do not cover body odor, look into taking a liquid chlorophyll supplement that will help you detoxify from the inside out.
Glide it on – Glide on your deodorant under your arms and anywhere else you need odor protection.
Activated Charcoal Deodorant – If you are worried about the activated charcoal staining your clothes, rub the deodorant into your skin after applying. This will help with unintentional transfer.
Tallow Deodorant – This deodorant is our best, every day use deodorant.
Sport Tallow Deodorant – This deodorant has more zinc oxide, so it helps the deodorant stay waterproof as well as give some SPF protection.

Deodorant properties
• Properties: Due to labeling guidelines, we can’t make specific claims about the nourishing properties of our ingredients. However, we encourage you to explore the benefits of each ingredient and discover what works best for your skin!
• Fading: Natural colorants and essential oils are beautifully delicate—unlike synthetic dyes and fragrances, they tend to fade over time. That gentle fading is your proof it’s truly natural!
• Best By?: Use our deodorant within a year for the best experience. After a year, the ingredients are still effective, but the essential oil scent may be gone.
• Variations: Natural variations of color, design and shape occur with all handmade products.
Handcrafted with Care Using natural ingredients - Baking soda and aluminum-Free
Our deodorants are made with skin-loving natural ingredients such as magnesium hydroxide, zinc oxide, diatomaceous earth, essential oils and clays. Our deodorant gives your body the ability to perspire and detoxify naturally while controlling odor. None of our deodorants contain aluminum or baking soda.
Frequently Asked Questions
How long do our deodorants last?
Our full-size deodorants are 2.75 oz, which is the same size as most commercial deodorant products. They should last the same duration if used in the same way.
Do your deodorants only have essential oils?
Yes, essential oils are used two-fold: to scent the deodorant as well as taking advantage of their anti-bacterial properties. Our unscented deodorants have no essential oils.
My deodorant scent is fading. Why is that?
Fading of scent is completely normal since essential oils are delicate and can evaporate as the deodorant is stored and ages, especially lighter scents like citrus.
This gentle change doesn’t affect the quality or effectiveness of the deodorant—it’s simply part of the charm of using a truly natural product. To keep your deodorant at their best, we recommend storing them in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
Is your deodorant safe for sensitive skin?
If you have sensitive skin, it's best to always test first. Our deodorant recipes exclude baking soda, a known ingredient that irritates some skin. We also offer unscented in all our deodorant versions.
Why do you package your deodorant in plastic instead of cardboard tubes?
As a handcrafter, we try to use a more sustainable way of packaging our product. However, cost of packaging prohibits us from offering cardboard tubing at this time. As we grow and are able to purchase in bulk, we would be able to get the price down to an acceptable amount. We also use plastic shrink wrap on our deodorant tubes to seal them prior to purchase.
Can I read about your ingredients?
Yes! Law requires us to include the INCI name for our ingredients and sometimes those names are not recognizable. This is why we also add the standard name you will recognize in our ingredient list on each product listing.
We want you to know how each ingredient affects the final product, if just out of curiosity or allergy-related. We've compiled lists of each ingredient and what they bring to the table. Check them out here: Butters & Oils, Additives (special oils, etc.), Scents (essential oils & fragrance oils), and colorants (powders & clays). You will also find these links in our footer at the bottom of each page as well as in the drop-down menu. If you don't see a particular ingredient listed, let us know, and we will add it. You can also google the standard name or INCI name for a good snapshot of the ingredient and its uses.
What if my skin feels different (in a bad way) using these products?
Sometimes trying new products, especially natural products that may work differently from commercial products, your body might start to detox and make change to your skin, hair, etc. Sometimes the change may be a negative one at first while your body adjusts to the new product. If this happens, don't immediately set aside the product. Your body may take a few days to a few weeks of use to work itself out and come to a balance.
However, if you are having an allergic reaction, discontinue use immediately and seek medical help, if needed. (Even natural ingredients have allergens that people can react with. Patch test first if you are worried about sensitives.)
If our product(s) just don't work for you after consistently using them for several weeks, or if you have an allergic reaction to one of our products, please contact us so we can discuss a refund or replacement of the item(s).
